1. Eco friendly
At Nguyen Shack we try to be as much eco-friendly as possible with choosing natural material that will not damage the environment. The guesthouse is built from natural materials like bamboo and leaves to make the guests feel closer to nature. Nguyen Shack focuses on promoting environmental awareness by using natural materials. It is our hope that we can inspire our guests to make small lifestyle changes to help the environment. Natural Bamboo Wall Panels are harvested from Vietnamese bamboo trees. We have carefully researched and installed Eco-friendly and sustainable products. We only use environmentally-safe materials.
2. Best location
The bungalows are situated at the junction of 2 small river of the Mekong Delta, nearby Cai Rang floating market, the largest floating market of Vietnam. We are nestled in a secluded village about 7km from the City centre of Can Tho, only 4km from the bus station. Around us lives mainly farmer taking care of gardens, orchards and rice field and on our land also we have a small tropical fruit garden. There is river and small canals everywhere so each of our bungalows have balconies overlooking the river. It's also an ideal place to enjoy amazing sunset.
3. Family run
When you visit us you always feel welcome like at home. Since the beginning we want to keep the homestay mentality and give a personal service to our guest. Throughout the time, Nguyen Shack became a little network of Nature Home off the beaten track all around Vietnam, but we kept our standard the same and our team will welcome you with a great sense of hospitality.
4. Sustainable tourism
When you come to Nguyen Shack, you empower the community and stimulate the local economy. Funds from your stay go towards our charity program. In Can Tho we give food and education for pagoda orphans and regular donations to two traditional clinics offering free traditional medicine to the poor people or the area. We give fair-paying jobs for the locals in the area and we also only hired local people used local material to build the Shacks. For the food Every morning our cook go to buy the foods from the local farmer in the nearby market.
