Day 1: Wildlife & Jungle Experience
Your adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Phong Nha, followed by a briefing at the EcoFoot office. Visit the Wildlife Rescue Station to learn about conservation efforts and see various rescued animals. Continue to the Phong Nha Botanical Garden for a guided tour, exploring diverse flora and fauna. After a short trek, arrive at Weapon Cave, where you’ll enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch prepared by the local team. Post-lunch, trek deeper into the jungle to reach a stunning waterfall, perfect for a refreshing swim. Time permitting, visit the semi-wild enclosure for Hatinh langurs, observing these fascinating primates in a naturalistic setting.
Evening: Jungle Night Walk
After dinner, venture into the jungle as night falls. Equipped with headlamps, you’ll navigate through dense foliage and along streams, witnessing the forest come alive with nocturnal creatures. The guides will share insights into the behaviors and habitats of various species, enhancing your understanding of this unique ecosystem.
Day 2: Primate Watching
Rise early and head to a prime location within the park to observe the red-shanked douc langurs in their natural habitat. Later, visit another area known for sightings of the elusive Hatinh langurs. Throughout the day, your guides will provide in-depth information about these primates and the ongoing conservation efforts to protect them.
